I have been married to a wonderful man for over 31 years. Shawn Gregory- that’s my guy- and that is the hunter I love. Shawn is an avid outdoorsman and an outstanding, very skilled, knowledgeable and successful hunter.  Yes, he definitely teeters with this hobby as an obsession, but hey- when you love something as much as he does, it takes balance which after years of juggling life, he has accomplished. He manages to do it all and fit in hunting for deer, turkey, coyotes as well as fishing in the nicer months. I will always try to provide tips to make your life easier. The items listed were put together by opinions from very experienced, successful hunters.  When you purchase some of these gifts those men in your life will be surprised and impressed with your cool ideas. (They are quietly happy not to get another piece of clothing they DO NOT NEED). We do our best ladies…been there….

I hunt too.  I have been an archery and rifle hunter since I was a teen and have harvested many deer in my lifetime, but I am NOT an expert whatsoever.  To be honest, I participate because I love the outdoors.  Being in that tree stand during the fall is one of the most gorgeous times to be surrounded by nature.  I love the snow in the winter as it blankets the land.  I love the fresh spring air and the re-birth of the grass and trees as everything turns to bright green again and the flowers can be seen peeking out on the hills during those morning turkey hunts.  I am a strong believer in deer herd management and eating healthy.  You cannot get healthier foods than what we can hunt and harvest. I love this lifestyle!

Now and then I will include some of Shawn’s awesome recipes.  He reigned as the chili king for over 20 years at one of our best friends hunting parties.  If he lets me post his recipe, it will be something very worth printing and incorporating into your household favorites.  We are talking seriously YUMMY!!

For the men.  You may be experts or novices- my blogs will target all of you.  Whether you want to get into this amazing hobby, or learn some new tricks of the trade, this site has been created with you too in mind. Helpful, and maybe a bit entertaining too 😊.

My content will be info that I gather from approximately 15 men and a few women who I feel are REALLY good hunters.  They not only know what they are doing, but their success with trophies they have harvested is proof of their years of hard work, dedication and ultimately fantastic achievements.
